This is one of Woody Allen's first books, and it shows. The material - arranged into small essays or short plays - don't translate into text well. When I stopped to try to "hear" them in Allen's spoken style, the stuff was much funnier. As text, though... well, it was interesting to see, but not what I was expecting or looking for at all.
