The Archive Undying is a kind of postapocalyptic fantasy kaiju novel that (d?)evolves into a philosophical treatise on the nature of the self. It's entertaining and extremely well written, but I got plot twist exhaustion after a while.
A lot of ideas crammed into a story about post AI apocalypse. Would have been better if some were left out. I liked some of the characters some of the time.
The world building is splendid but I found many of the motivations/sentiments of the characters to be described in a very confusing way. It is not unlikely that this is more of a me problem and not on the author at all.
