Jane Pettigrew is a tea specialist, historian, writer and consultant. Since 1983, she has been working in the UK and around the world to explain and share the fascinating world of tea. Previously in her career Jane has also given regular tea masterclasses and tea tastings, spoken on radio and TV and acted as consultant to tea companies, new tea businesses, table ware and tea ware companies. At the World Tea Awards ceremony at World Tea Expo in 2018, Jane's book Jane Pettigrew’s World of Tea was awarded Best New Product in the Publications and Books category. In the UK's New Year Honours List 2016, Jane was awarded the British Empire Medal for Services to Tea Production and Tea History. At the World Tea Awards ceremony 2015 Jane received the Best Tea Personality Award and Best Tea Health Advocate Award. At the World Tea Awards ceremony 2014 Jane received the Best Tea Educator Award. Jane is the Director of Studies of the new UK Tea Academy.
